Welcome to Bikram Yoga Kawana!

For new students, a Bikram Yoga class can feel like a very different experience to other forms of exercise – mentally, physically and emotionally – as you start to experience the natural medicinal benefits of the practice. The yoga room is heated so that your body will sweat, and you may feel that some postures are challenging as you start out. Just know that everyone else in the room started and felt exactly the same way 🙂

You will see all shapes, sizes, ages and different abilities – please never judge or try and compete, especially with yourself! Every day is different in the hot room and as yogi practitioners understand, we do what we can do with the body we’ve got that day 🙂 It’s always ok to stop and rest when you need to!

Preparing for a Bikram 90 or Quick 60

As a new student, you can come to any of our Bikram 90, Quick 60 or Yin classes. The Bikram 90 is a great way to go into the deep-end of the practice and the Quick 60 a fun and dynamic way of experiencing the practice. The Bikram 90 class is the full 2 sets of the 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. The Quick 60 class is 1 set of some postures and 2 sets of others. Both class styles give an amazing, intense and meditative work-out!
